Sinan Ünel will be represented by ONK Agency in Turkey

sinanunel-onk-2 Upon finalizing an agreement signed by playwright Sinan Ünel and our chairman of the board Mehmet N. Karaca today, Ünel will be represented by ONK Agency in Turkey from now on. Our general manager Meriç Güleç and Play Rights Director Aslıhan Gülay have also attended the meeting with Ünel today.

Sinan Ünel’s father, a graduate student from Istanbul, met and married his mother, an undergrad from Oklahoma, at the University of Michigan. Sinan celebrated his first birthday on a cargo ship, crossing the Atlantic. Raised in Turkey, he graduated from the French Jesuit Lycée Saint Joseph, and moved to the US to attend the University of Kansas.

After dawdling in business and architecture for a couple of years, Sinan found his true calling after writing his first play (in Turkish) and changed his major to English Lit and Playwriting. After graduation Sinan lived in New York City for a year, and then moved to Provincetown, MA, where he spent many years writing and developing his craft.

Ünel is the recipient of numerous awards, and the author of more than twenty plays and screenplays.
